Save the Date: Physician Compare National Provider Call

Mark this on your calendar as a “can’t miss” meeting: September 28, 2017 at 1:30 pm ET.

That’s the time you can tune in to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) which is hosting a Medicare Learning Network (MLN) Connects® National Provider Call about Physician Compare. CMS is partnering with the Physician Compare support team to offer this important update.

The upcoming 90-minute provider call focuses on the Physician Compare 30-day preview period. This preview allows clinicians and group practice representatives to preview their 2016 quality performance scores as they will appear on Physician Compare in late 2017. The portal displaying performance scores is only available during the 30-day preview period.

Physician Compare is a valuable CMS database that helps patients find and compare physicians and other clinicians enrolled in Medicare in order that they can make informed choices about their health care.

How To Register for the Physician Compare Call

It’s easy to attend a CMS call. All events are free but you must register in advance.

First, visit the MLN Connects® website and click on Calls & Webcasts. Select your event and then register at the MNL Events Registration website.

You’ll be able to see details on each specific call event as well as read any available materials in advance.

Don’t miss this important CMS update call! In addition to the Physician Compare information, you’ll learn about the upcoming payment year (PY) 2016 measure release coming in late 2017.
